Welcome new staff
The Facial Nerve Center at Mass. Eye and Ear welcomes two new staff members, Nurse Practitioners, Julia Mellon and Madeline Macaluso. You may have seen them in the clinic the past week or so alongside Dr. Jowett, Dr. Banks, our PT Mara Robinson, or our PA Kerry Camp, but they both will be taking on bigger schedules in the coming weeks.

Madeline Macaluso, FNP-BC, completed her master's degree and training through MGH Institute of Health Professions. Madeline previously worked within Primary Care through Mount Auburn Hospital/Beth Israel Leahy Health in Cambridge.
"I'm so excited to be able to continue my career at Mass. Eye & Ear within a specialty I greatly admire and with incredible surgeons. I chose this career to be able to help people and make a difference. I’m grateful to be able to work within this department where our interventions can create physical changes that help foster confidence and happiness."
Madeline will be working closely with Dr. Banks, Dr. Lee, Dr. Shaye, and Dr. Jowett within Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery and the Facial Nerve Center. This includes pre- and post-op appointments, as well as administering Botox.

Julia Mellon, NP-C, received her undergrad degree from Holy Cross and completed the Direct Entry Nursing Program at Regis College. I worked at Mass. Eye & Ear prior to attending nursing school. The majority of her experience at MEE was in the Department of Facial Plastics working with Dr. Hadlock as well as many of the other surgeons in the department. When she graduated from nursing school, Julia left MEE and began working for a private practice in Back Bay. And she's really excited to be back!
"Nursing allows me to help others. I know that sounds cliché but it really is so important to me. We all have moments where we feel vulnerable and need assistance. I'm honored to be a hand you choose to hold when you need it."
Julia will be working as part of Dr. Hadlock's team performing Botox treatments.
